”In Tension at the Table , the silence becomes almost palpable. A seemingly tranquil still life—a table with flowers, apples, and cheese—subtly transforms into a suspenseful story. On the left, a mouse sits casually by the cheese, while on the other side of the table, a barn owl watches silently.

The interplay of light and shadow, inspired by the Old Masters, heightens the drama: light pours in through the windows from the right, revealing details in flowers, fruit, and feathers, while other areas remain shrouded in mystery. The composition is carefully constructed in a triangular shape, yet remains vibrant and natural. Each element contributes to the tension, without any movement.
