””For this work, I drew inspiration from the old masters, and particularly from Adriaen van Utrecht and his painting “The Splendid Still Life.” From this inspiration, I gave it my own twist and gave it a new look. The painting depicts a lavishly laid table, laden with food and delicacies, abandoned and taken over by animals.

In this work, I was able to apply all the techniques I’ve learned over the past few years. It was not only technically challenging to paint, but also because of its scale. This painting is my largest work to date, which sometimes made it overwhelming to work on.

The result is a unique painting and a real eye-catcher. The process has inspired me immensely and leaves me wanting more…”
